All About Facebook Timeline

Facebook has introduced the biggest change, the new Timeline Profile Pages. The Timeline experience mainly focus on three main things: all your stories, all your apps, a new way to express who you are. After the announcement everyone wants to get started with the new timeline profile.



Now I give u instructions to activate timeline in your facebook profile:

1- Login to your Facebook account.



2- Go to the Facebook developer center . If you never use Facebook Developer app then type “developer” into the Facebook search box, click the first result and add the app.
You need to give access permission to the app by clicking on allow button.





3- Into the Developer app create a new app by clicking on link on top-right side.






4- Add your App Display name and App Namespace: Name it whatever you want-it doesn’t matter. Click the checkbox “I agree to the platform privacy policy.” Click on continue.






5- Pass the security check by filling in the Captcha.

6- A new page will appear, Click on Open Graph link in the left side.



7- Give some information to action type and object type fields.fill in anything you want (it doesn’t matter), then click “Get Started” button.


8- A new window will open called configuration page. You don't need to do anything just simply click “Save Changes and Next.” Do the same thing through all three pages of settings.

 9- You will taken to a new window which tells about your newly setup Application.

10- Wait a few minutes.

11- Go to your Facebook Home Page, where you’ll be invited to enable Timeline, at the top of the page.


 12- Click on Get it Now and it’s all done.

N.B. Your timeline profile is visible to the users who have activated timeline, otherwise they will see your old profile page.
