7 exclusive features of VLC player

There are 7 exclusive feature present in VLC player that may be unknown to you. But no worry. Here I am. I'm gonna give you details about these features.







1. Rip DVDs:

VLC player can RIP DVD. Not only RIP, also it gives a higher quality RIP.
 What you Have to do is



i) Go to Media >Convert/save Option
ii) Add files
iii) show the DVD disk
iv) you can RIP a file or any or its Title
v) Press save button










2. Record videos:


While playing a movie or video with VLC player you can record video of full or a single part of the video.

This system is given by default in this program. What you'll have to do to use this feature is,

View>  Advance Control
There you'll see the record button.

Now press that button and record video as you wish :)



3. Play RAR files:

 You can play RAR files using VLC player. But the RAR file should contain atleast one video file. Also if you downloaded videos in parts, just show one part as "*.part001.rar" the player will detect the other files automatically.


4. Play in ASCII mode:

You can play VLC in ASCII(American Standard Code for Information Interchange) mode.

To do so, go to tools>Preferences
then select from the left panel and save.




5. Listen to online radio:

You can be a online radio listner using VLC media player. You can listen 100+ radio station using VLC.
To do so go to
Media –>Services Discovery –> Shoutcast radio listings

Now select playstation and start listening online Radio.



6. Convert Audio and Video formats:
VLC player can convert several types of video formates into MP4, WMV, AVI, OGG, MP3 etc.


To do so go to Media –>Convert/Save

Show the desired file and destination folder.

Now click Convert/Save also select profile that means output formate.







7. Download YouTube and other online videos:

You can download online video streams from YOUTUBE.

Just go to Media –>Open Network stream

Give the address and play

then Tools –>Codec Information

You will find a information box just like below






You can put the address to the browser and download the video also you can just record the video :)
